JULY 4-5, 2027 | MARKREE CASTLE | COUNTY SLIGO, IRELAND

&

We first met on June 2, 2023 at a classic run-down bar on Sixth Street in Austin, Texas. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (known to the cool Austinites as “WTF”) (yes, that is really what it was called) has been closed for years now, but WTF will live on in our hearts and on our matching t-shirts that we still have from that night. Sometimes we wish that we had a better love story, but after that fateful evening, for better or for worse, the rest was history.
After moving from Ireland to pursue his LL.M. at The University of Texas School of Law, Jack had literally only been in the United States for a few days before we met. On our first date, Jack picked me up in his 2008 Ford Ranger that he bought on Facebook Marketplace to take us to the Broken Spoke, an old country western dance hall in South Austin. He only accidentally started driving on the left side of the road a few times. When we sat down for dinner (before the dancing, of course), the waiter had to keep stopping by for an hour to take our order because we could never stop talking long enough to look at the menu. We both knew then that we would be together forever.
After a summer of running around Austin and falling in love, Jack and I attended The University of Texas School of Law together for one year. After graduating, Jack landed a job in Houston, Texas at his dream law firm. I graduated with my law degree one year later, and we have been in Houston ever since. Luckily, we both passed the bar exam, and love doing what we do and getting to do it side-by-side.
Jack proposed to me on February 28, 2026 at the site of our second date on Mount Bonnell in Austin, Texas. It was the best day ever, and we have continued to build our lives together ever since.
As if graduating law school, moving cities, starting new jobs, and getting engaged was not enough action for one calendar year, Jack and I took a huge leap of faith and somehow purchased our little blue house in the Old Sixth Ward in Houston, Texas. Our Sheepadoodle, Leo, finally has his own yard.
Jack and I spend our days as an engaged couple dreaming up new ideas for our Irish fairytale wedding, relaxing on our front porch overlooking the Houston skyline, taking long walks along the bayou, and choosing our next adventure. We cannot wait to share this chapter with you.
With love,
